During a recent visit to Minnesota, we stopped by Vision-Ease headquarters to speak with Scott Schaller, vice president of Worldwide Sales and Marketing on the Jakarta fire and an update on the rebuild.

 

During a tour of Essilor Headquarters we had an opportunity to sit down with Bob Colucci, President of Independent Distribution Division for Essilor USA. We asked him about his opinions on the future of the optical industry, online retail and what Essilor is doing to grow consumer awareness.

 

During our visit to Dallas we ran into Alan Yuster and Stephen Brewer of ProFit Optix and sat down to discuss the new company and bringing Rodenstock back to the US.

2011 Optical Resources Pricing

It's that time of year and we know its the big question on your mind; 2011 Pricing. Vendors have reported that pricing will be coming in throughout the first quarter. Some get it in earlier than others so login to opticalresources.com regularly or check back here as we will be announcing when new pricing is received. Most lens vendors submit their pricing around February 1st and most supply vendors do not submit pricing until March. Your 2010 pricing continues on into 2011 until they send in new pricing. X-Cel is the first to get their pricing in this year and will tak effect Jan 1st. It is available now to review.

Because vendors are spread out so much it makes creating the lens analysis quite difficult. As we find out more exact dates we will let you know when it will be available.
